Me: Want to come spend a week in Mexico with me?
Jana: oh that’d be so cool
Me: I sense conditional tense. My finely honed semantic skills indicate that your conditional tense is suggestive of an independent clause beginning with “but” and ultimately concluding “no.”
Jana but i don’t have the time or money
Me: I am so intuitive
Jana did you get a degree in that?
Me: what, being intutitive? No, I was born with it.
Jana hhhhhhahaha
Jana evidently i was born with a speech impediment that comes out only when i type
Me: and prevents you from prnouncing the letter “a”?
Me: That is a rare impediment indeed
Me: (mine occasionally kicks in and prevents me from pronouncing os)

Collin: so you corrected what i wrote and included the request for the correction
Me: Yes. Should I change it back?
Me: The mighty Hitchyker falls silent, confounded by the query.
Collin: hahahaha
Collin: no. i like the way you quoted it. you have good editorial instincts
Me: you’re too kind
Collin: oh. well then. piss off
Me: Since I copied the quotes verbatim from what you typed
Collin: hee. i was referring to where you chose to cut it
Me: Oh, yes, thank you. I figured “hahahaha!” and “lol” didn’t really, you know, add anything
Collin: that is so insightful
Me: thank you very much
