Me: "The New York Times announced yesterday that it would offer a new subscription-based service on its Web site, charging users an annual fee to read its Op-Ed and news columnists, as the newspaper seeks ways to capitalize on the site’s popularity." (via Slashdot)
Collin: "Collin anounced today that he would offer a new Punching the New York Times in the Face service, creating pain for the New York Times editors, as he seeks ways to express his anger at the perpetual erosion of the free internet."
Me: Will your service require a subscription?
Collin: I expect this to start off as a free service but I am retaining all my options here. depending on the popularity of the service and the (legal) costs of maintaining it, some form of fiduciary compensation may ultimately be required.
Me: That sounds fair. This is definitely being posted on my web site right now.
Collin: Can you insert the word “to” in front of express, as it should have been?
Me: Certainly. I also offer complimentary capitalization services.
Collin: Well, sure, they’re complimentary now…
