Digital Overtone

Me: What do you think of this whole Blu-ray disc technology? I mean, definitely cool to have a portable digital medium that can hold 50GB of information (dammit more than my iPod), but why the name? Blu-ray? You mean BluE-ray? Is this suddenly cool? And don’t get me STARTED (actually I already got started a few months ago on Digital Overtone) about Coke’s c^2 (which has HALF the calories, not the-calories-squared) and Bush’s b^e (which I can only presume is beer to the power of Euler’s number [used to describe growth and decay logarithmic functions], and…wtf?)
Collin: I noticed that you didn’t comment on Apple’s irrational compulsion to prefix everything with a lowercase i. iPod iLife iMac iSight iTunes etc… this is stupid and ridiculous. Apple can go iFuck itself.
Me: iAlmost did, but then iRealized that “i” doesn’t have any special meaning like raising something to a power, or the number “e” do. So then iTook it out.
